AniCare and AniCare Child Counselor

Certification

 

Society & Animals Forum Counselor Certification Criteria


a. holds MA / MS degree in counseling, social work or other related mental health field
b. has 3 years working as counselor in a clinical setting
c. has attended a 6 hour S&AF (formerly PSYETA) workshop (“Assessing and Treating Juvenile Animal Abuse” or “Assessing and Treating Adult Animal Abuse”) utilizing the Anicare or AnicareChild approach
d. has received a S&AF Certificate of Proficiency following successful completion of
a post-test based upon the Anicare or AnicareChild manuals and workshop

S&AF Certified Workshop Trainer

a.-d. and

e. has experience giving workshops or other related presentations for professional audiences
f. has participated in the S&AF Training of Trainers program
g. has co-lead a workshop with a Certified S&AF Trainer supervising
h. has conducted one Workshop as a lead Trainer which is observed, reviewed, and approved by a Certified S&AF Trainer
i. has participated in at least 4 hours of professional exchanges with S&AF administration and other Certified Trainers
j. has received a Certificate of Trainer Competency sanctioned by S&AF.
